What We Do
Over the 10 hour duration of the course you will learn how to prevent certain ailments and injuries, spot early signs of illness, master bandaging and splinting techniques, understand several emergency medical conditions, how to respond to choking, perform artificial respiration and CPR and much more.
At minimum each student is required to demonstrate a mouth tie, foot pad, tail, ear wrap, impalement wrap and a splint. Students must know how to respond to small and large animal choking, perform artificial respiration and perform 1 and 2 person CPR for animals under and over 5 pounds. At the end of our course, each student will also be required to pass the final exam with a minimum grade of 76%. Once all of this is completed, you will be certified in pet first aid for the next 3 years.
